Japfest 2026 Recap

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick things off with our first show of the year at Japfest Silverstone! Clear skies, sunshine all day, and the perfect backdrop for a full day of cars, community, and everything JDM. The atmosphere from the moment we arrived at Silverstone was unreal, and it only got better as the day went on.

Our Gravity Performance trade stand was at the heart of it all. It was non-stop from the moment gates opened, meeting so many of you, chatting about builds, setups, and everything JDM. Whether you came over for advice, to check out parts, or just to say hello, we appreciate every single conversation. It’s what makes events like this so special.

Drift Matsuri Demos

A massive highlight for us was the Drift Matsuri demos, and this year’s lineup did not disappoint. Huge credit to Sweeps for putting together such a solid day of demos, bringing together some of the best drivers in the UK and creating a proper high-energy demo from start to finish. The runs were relentless, the transitions were tight, and the atmosphere around the track was electric all day.

Watching our sponsored driver Shane Faber absolutely send it in his E46 BMW was unreal. From big entries to clean, controlled tandems, he was on it all weekend and it was great to see the crowd getting behind him. The smoke, the noise, the commitment… this is what drifting is all about.

Land Train

Another cool moment for us this year was sponsoring the Japfest Land Train. Seeing it making its way around the venue throughout the day, packed with people and proudly carrying the Gravity Performance name was something a bit different and a lot of fun.

Club Stands and Show and Shine

The club stands this year truly deserved their own spotlight. The sheer variety on display was incredible, with everything from perfectly executed OEM+ builds to full-on, no-expense-spared show cars and track-focused machines. Every stand had its own identity, its own style, and its own story and that’s what makes the JDM scene so special. You could walk from one stand to the next and see completely different approaches to modifying, from subtle and refined to loud and aggressive. The level of detail, care, and passion that goes into these cars doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear just how strong and diverse the community is right now. It’s always a highlight for us taking the time to walk around, take it all in, and appreciate the effort behind every single build.

To everyone who stopped by, took photos, asked questions, or just shared the passion, thank you. Events like Japfest remind us why we do what we do. Take a look at our full show highlights using the link below!
